Adherence to strict infection-control precautions like hand washing, use of gloves, use of personal protective equipment, use of fluid resistant gowns and aprons, safe handling of sharps, safe handling of waste, safe handling of soiled linen and environmental cleaning are essential to protect both health care worker and patient.
• The trainees get to know how to report a possible exposure and document it, and various options available for testing and counseling follow-up.
