Why Cheap Natural Acne Remedies Can Work for Adult Acne

Most everyone tends to have acne at some point in their life. While usually we think about it when we're teenagers a lot of adults suffer from acne as well for a variety of reasons. People try a lot of things ranging from over the counter items to simple household items. If you want to try and treat acne more naturally first there are a lot of simple household items which can be used to see if it helps clear it up. A lot of the time the problem is figuring if the acne is a simple flair up of the skin or if something is happening such as a problem with your hormones or part of the problem being diet induced. Remember that it's never easy to pinpoint one exact cause since multiple factors can cause acne problems. Keep in mind that I'm not trying to give expert medical counseling but simply suggestions for things which one can try. For serious problems you should always consider consulting a medial professional. So for some suggested acne remedies please look below.

Baking Soda: Simple Baking Soda which you would use to bake or clean with is one natural remedy for acne, pimples, blackheads and such which people have been using for years. The main advantages with baking soda is that it is cheap, easy to acquire, easy to use and natural so you usually don't have to worry about any negative side effect. Baking soda has a gritty texture so you want to avoid rubbing it into your skin. Usually what most people will do is wet some baking soda with water to make a paste of sorts and then apply it to the affected area. After this you leave it on until it dries and give it between fifteen to thirty minutes before simply washing it off. The idea is that the baking soda helps to dry out the area especially when it comes to things such as pimples. By drying it out the bacteria which cause acne is killed and your skin can heal underneath of it as the dry skin comes off. The main problem people complain of with baking soda is that it can potentially dry out your skin when used regularly. If you notice this problem you may either want to take care with it or apply something afterward to help keep your skin moisturized.

Apple Cider Vinegar: This is another item which a lot of people report success with when trying to treat any type of acne in a more natural method especially for more moderate or mild acne. The idea with it is that like baking soda it helps to dry out most types of acne especially things such as pimples. But also that it helps kill of bacteria which cause acne and helps to balance the PH level of the skin. The main thing to keep in mind with apple cider vinegar is that like baking soda it can dry out your skin. More than this though something you need to keep in mind that apple cider vinegar is acidic. Now all vinegar should be diluted to make it much less acidic usually to five percent acidity and it should say on the bottle. Still you should be careful when using it. Generally most people find they can simply wet a q tip and apply it at full strength but some people especially those with sensitive skin cannot do this. You should also take great care if you're applying it anywhere near your face so you don't get it into your eyes. If you have sensitive skin or if you're applying it anywhere near your face you might want to dilute it further by mixing water to reduce the acid level of it.

Egg whites: Egg whites are the white from an egg without the egg yolk. The most simple way to do this is to open an egg shell slowly and pour out the white without the yolk. After this you can apply the egg white to your skin and leave it on there. The general opinion is generally that this does help to improve and tighten your skin while sometimes reducing pimples or acne as well. Eggs are very healthy being full of a lot of vitamins so for most people they seem to help well in healing your skin and giving it a very healthy appearance. Generally it doesn't seem to have as much of a direct impact on the acne. More it seems to help with the overall health of your skin.

Keep in mind that you should always avoid applying these or any remedies for any type of open wounds. Acne is a difficult problem to deal with at any age. While some people notice quick results with some remedies other people need to use the for a few weeks to notice any improvement. The other thing to keep in mind as I mentioned before is that there usually isn't an exact cause for acne or a one fits all fix.

Things such as changes in diet, hormones, even stress levels can all cause acne to act up. Similar to this while some remedies work for a majority of people they might not work as well for others. The best thing you can do is be consistent and try different things to find what works best. If you suffer from a serious acne problem you may want to consider trying something stronger or seeing a doctor or dermatologist to help come up with a proper treatment regiment.
