Acne Treatments at Home - What Treatments Are Available?

Acne Treatments at Home - What Treatment is Available for My Acne?

Maybe you usually have acne and other skin issues, or maybe an acne outbreak is unusual for you: either way, you certainly want it taken care of fast. In order to quickly wipe out acne, which can be uncomfortable on many levels, first explore what it is so that you can wisely take the next step.

Where Does My Acne Come From? What you do or do not eat will not help control your acne. Your skin is not affected by greasy food or chocolate, unless you are allergic to those foods. The plugs on the skin pores, which may be a combination of dead skin cells, bacteria and hardened sebum, and hormonal fluctuations are the cause of acne, which makes it a typical part of adolescence for most of us. Your daily activities have a great role to play in the condition of your skin.

What you can do: You need to stop the use of astringents if you are having a break out. If the treatments you use cause stinging, there is a good chance your skin is being dried out. In order to ease up take your time and use only the gentlest ingredients. Using plain water to clean your skin may help. While it might take a few days to adjust, you'll often find that the transition is worth it. Some people find that using an antibacterial liquid soap rather than bar soap when washing their face helps a lot. Wash your face thoroughly but gently at least twice a day.

Natural or home remedies: Which one should you choose garlic, baking powder or corn starch? Some cures for acne can be found right in your kitchen cupboard. You can create your own home-made face cream with a paste of water and baking powder or mashed garlic, and keep it on for about five to ten minutes, then rinse it away. Apply twice a day. The pain and redness can clear up, helping it heal faster. Use a clean towel to blot your face dry after washing.

A different home remedy utilizes egg white mixed with corn starch to make a thin paste. Let it stay on the face until dry, then rinse. Use it two times daily.

There are quite a few different brands of over-the-counter acne treatment. Most of them contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Both chemicals kill germs, but they can cause dry skin, irritation, or rashes on people with sensitive skin.

Eating healthy foods and drinking plenty of water also will help.

When you are looking to get rid of your acne, remember that there are many different options open to you. Everybody's skin is not the same. What works well for some may not work for others. Do the research to discover the best way to get your acne under control.
